Set against the backdrop of the tumultuous late 19th century, this book follows the journey of Shu Guanping, a student at Tongwen College in Guangzhou. As he made his way back home to the peninsula, a sudden storm forced a delay, which, however, presented an unexpected opportunity to fulfill a crucial task for his mentor. He embarked on a perilous journey to the renowned Wan Yu Camp.
