This book is a curated and supplemented version of an online course that Yan Chongnian launched on the Himalayas APP in December 2019. With 100 lectures and 200 selected pictures divided in 6 chapters, the book presents the 600 years' history of the Palace Museum in chronological order:  the Ming Dynasty Palace Museum, the Qing Dynasty Palace Museum,the history of the Imperial Palace in the Republic of China and the New China. From the 18th year of Ming Dynasty Yongle (1420) to 2020, the Palace Museum has existed 600 years.
