This book is a collection of the prefaces to The People’s Congress of China written by Wang Tiemin between 2004 to 2019 when he served as the magazine’s chief editor. As a publication of the NPC Standing Committee, The People’s Congress of China is a platform to raise the public awareness of the people’s congress system, as well as the progress and outcomes of the NPC and its Standing Committee in performing duties. It has contributed to the functioning of the people’s congresses and to an enabling environment for advancing socialist democracy and the rule of law in China.
