Ai Silin is the President of the Tsinghua University Institute for Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, Changjiang Distinguished Professorship appointed by the Ministry of Education, and Chief Expert of Central Marxist Theory Research and Construction Program. He also serves as the member and General Secretary of the Discipline Review Group of Marxist Theory in the Degrees Committee of the state Council, and Director of the Advisory Board for Ideology and Politics Education in Colleges under the Ministry of Education. He has engaged in the activities organized by the Ministry of Education for communicating the guiding principles of the 18th and 19th CPC National Congress, and the nationwide training sessions for officials organized by the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee. He was the Director of the Editorial Board of the five-volume Student Handbooks on Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and the lecturer for a three-season CCTV program on the quotes by General Secretary Xi Jinping. He has been selected as one of the first-batch leading talents in philosophy and social sciences in the National Ten Thousand Talents Plan, one of the National Cultural Masters and the Four Batches of Talents. He has also been covered by the New Century Millions of Talents Project and the Outstanding Talents in the New Century Project of the Ministry of Education. He leads the national teaching team and enjoys special government subsidies issued by the State Council. He has hosted dozens of major projects under the Central Marxist Theory Research and Construction Program, major projects funded by the National Social Science Funds, and other related research projects.
