Han Tianheng

Han Tianheng, born in 1940 in Shanghai, is originally from Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, and is known as Doulu, Jinmozhe, and Weixian. He is adept at calligraphy, Chinese painting, seal carving, art theory and appreciation of calligraphy, painting and seal works. He currently serves as the honorary president of the China Seal Engraving Art Institute of the Chinese National Academy of Arts, vice president of the Xiling Seal Engraver’s Society, art advisor (former vice president) of the Shanghai Chinese Painting Academy, national-level artist, expert enjoying the State Council’s special allowance, president of the Shanghai Wu Changshuo Art Research Association, director of the Wu Changshuo Memorial Hall, professor at the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, professor at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and distinguished professor at the School of Philosophy of Fudan University.
